Modular systems have a huge range of office storage solutions to meet your needs and expectations as a business.  Without the correct filing systems, furniture and storage employees can become distracted, overwhelmed with work and unorganised. As a result work piles up, things go missing and productivity goes out the window. Its common knowledge that we should have good storage in our offices but how many of you know the importance of wall coverings?

An office that is painted white, has big windows, office blinds and dull furniture is a very common sight in the workplace. Unfortunately this is also the cause of many workers underachieving, with little to look at in the office employees become bored and unmotivated.  Wall coverings are therefore a great way of adding some colour to your walls; and it is a cheap and easy option to choose.

Wall covering can consist of almost anything from spots to stripes, stars to moons and landscapes to skyscapes. It depends entirely on the look you want to achieve and how jazzy you want your walls. Even the simplest wall covering can add colour to the office, instantly brightening it up to give it a warm, welcoming and cheerful atmosphere.  With something to look at your employees will feel more at ease, more comfortable, more motivated and more inclined to work. It really is something as little as this that can improve morale in the workplace.

It is also important when choosing a wall covering that you don’t go overboard.  Try to stick to one theme/colour so that you don’t fill the office with too many distractions.  You may also want to pick a feature wall so that the walls aren’t the same throughout. This will allow for a focus point in the office that will stand out from the rest of the walls.

If you overcompensate on wall coverings you will find that employees are just as likely to be distracted and unmotivated as they are without them.  Getting the balance right is crucial for making sure that employees are both happy and productive whilst sat at their desk.

If you have more than one room in your office it is a good idea to think about the role of that room. For example the main office could benefit from some colour to keep people ticking by; whereas a meeting or conference room could do with something a bit more lively to keep spirits high and ideas flowing.
